Following the steady increase of traffic to and from Austria, the SCHMIDT Group opened a representative office in Vienna in 1981.

For many years the SCHMIDT office in Vienna operated solely as a traffic and sales office. In 2000, a forwarding operation including tank cleaning, repair workshop and container handling facilities, was taken over situated at the well-positioned location of Enzersdorf near Vienna.
In the meantime this facility has been extendes and developed with two
container tipping platforms.

A large fleet of Austrian vehicles is controlled by this office which also co-ordinates the traffic activities within neighbouring Hungary.
