Key Project in Shanghai in service
SCHMIDT is partnering with main contractor Agility, a leading global logistics provider, to deliver polymer handling expertise and equipment to support the construction and operation of a state-of-the-art
polymer handling hub in Shanghai dedicated to Borouge.
At 66,000 sq m, the facility is the largest of its type in China and was set-up within two years with trial operations commencing in early 2010. An experienced team of SCHMIDT
employees trained Agility’s staff in China to use the polymer handling equipment which is now fully operational.
The official opening ceremony was held onsite in Fengxian with more than 100 attendees from SCHMIDT, Agility, Borouge,
local government and other dignitaries.
Borouge is a joint venture between Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and Borealis, a leading provider of chemical and innovative plastics solutions.
