SCHMIDT and BASF
win the cooperations award 2006
With the yearly awarding of the "Kooperationspreis Transport und Logistik"
the German association Bundesverband Wirtschaft, Verkehr und Logistik e.V., Bonn together with DVZ Deutsche Logistikzeitung allocate innovative concepts in the transport and logistics sector.
This year the award was handed over to KARL SCHMIDT Spedition and BASF.
The award ceremony took place on May 11,2006 on the occasion of the 11th German logistics and transport manager meeting at Dresden.
The jury was convinced of
the exemplary cooperation of both companies expressed with the jointly developed logistics concept. Following criteria were assessed in detail :
- close integration of organisation and communication
- decrease of process duration, administration, error ratio and process costs
- increase of efficiency and quality
- practise oriented implementation of innovative systems
- protection of resources
The
excellent reasoned concept shows an intelligent configuration of the supply chain by exchanging industry and specific product know how with the objective to reach a win-win situation.
