EUROPEAN CARRIER OF THE YEAR - AWARD 2000
KARL SCHMIDT SPEDITION was awarded the
EUROPEAN CARRIER OF THE YEAR - AWARD 2000
at the annual “Responsible Care” meeting of DOW EUROPE on May 9, 2001 in Terneuzen (Netherlands), which was presented by the director of the “Responsible Care” department at CEFIC (European Chemical Industry Association), Mr. Jacques
Busson.
DOW EUROPE acknowledges herewith the excellent
achievements of the SCHMIDT Group, in the fields of Safety
and Quality in the Year 2000, as the best amongst more
than 50 Freight Forwarders.
This award is the outstanding result of the various efforts of
all SCHMIDT Group employees throughout Europe,
especially the drivers, to provide Customers with excellent
levels of service quality.
In the Year 2000, the SCHMIDT Group effected more than
10,000 transport movements in 7 European countries on
behalf of DOW Europe. The performance assessment was
the result of evaluation carried out by responsible DOW Personnel in various locations, in
addition to other DOW EUROPE internal assessment systems.
“Responsible Care” is an initiative of the Chemical Industry aimed that all partners (mainly
in the field of logistics’ services) to encourage a constant improvement of their activities
for the protection of Health and the Environment.
The SCHMIDT Group Management is very proud to have received this award and would like to thank all employees for their tireless commitment. At the same time, this confirmation of employee performance should be a motivation to maintain this high level of, and improve on, service quality.
